In yet another great cockpit video from the team at Intelligent Television and Video (ITVV), we go aboard a Cathay Pacific 747-400, joining the crew of CX250 as they fly from London’s Heathrow airport (LHR – EGLL) to Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong (HKG – VHHX). In addition to following a flight in a 747-400, this video also provides great training for a flight in our 737 simulator.
The Primary Flight Display in a 747 is very similar to the one from a 737 with similar navigation inputs and effects. In addition, the autopilot controls on the glare shield operate in the same manner as the ones on a 737. By watching the step-by-step descriptions provided in this video, you will definitely improve your knowledge of the systems in our 737 simulator.

The team from Radio 3AW will be broadcasting live from our simulator on December 10th . Throughout the day the station will be performing live cross overs to their staff who will be interviewing our instructors and customers. There will also be some give-aways and one of our competitions will be drawn live on air.
If you’re in Melbourne you can listen to 3AW on AM693, otherwise you can listen live from their website.
Have you ever wanted to take your family up to the cockpit and show them what it’s like? Believe it or not, many airline pilots want to do the same thing but cannot.
Due to the many security measures introduced over the past few years, pilots are unable to take their family members into “the office” so they can experience flying a commercial jet airliner.

Our cockpit from a different angle
is a fixed base glass cockpit synthetic Flight Training Device (FTD) modelled on the Boeing 737-800NG. It has been certified as a Synthetic Flight Trainer (SFT) to Category B under the FSD2 regulations by both the Civil Aviation Authority in New Zealand and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in Australia.
We’re sure you’ll agree that this system provides an excellent platform for an introduction to jet flying and the glass cockpit environment.

Take a peek at our cockpit
Many people are interested in just seeing what the inside of a 737 cockpit looks like. Some want to check out our simulator before they commit to buying one of our Flight Packages
If you’re in the city and want to have a look at our simulator, the best time to drop by is between 2pm and 3pm every day. This is when our instructors take their lunch breaks, so the simulator is generally not being used and one instructor is always on hand to let you have a look inside.
While visiting the simulator, you can also check out our wide range of merchandise available, including clothing, books, aircraft models and cockpit DVDs.
New Hong Kong Scenery
Flying the approach into runway 13 at Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong has always been an exhilarating experience. Following the ILS indicators you descend towards the famous “checker board” and, at the inner marker, turn sharply to the right along the curving line of beacon lights that lead to the runway itself. While the level of realism has been good, it’s now even better thanks to a new enhanced scenery package for the Hong Kong area.
